Fermi America is launching its first-ever Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) program, and we’re looking for a dynamic FTZ Administrator to lead the way. This is a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up—designing processes, integrating systems, and shaping compliance strategies that will drive efficiency across our growing energy and technology supply chain.
As the FTZ Administrator, you’ll be the subject matter expert and primary liaison with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), ensuring regulatory compliance while optimizing cost and operational performance. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution, making it ideal for a seasoned trade compliance professional ready to make a big impact.
What You’ll Do
- Establish & Activate the FTZ Program: Lead setup in coordination with CBP, Department of Commerce, and local grantee.
- Design Processes & Systems: Implement FTZ workflows, compliance manuals, and integrate software for real-time inventory control.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Manage CBP filings, audits, and maintain FTZ status in good standing.
- Oversee Trade Operations: Track imports/exports, manage inventory reconciliation, and integrate customs processes with ERP and logistics systems.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Develop dashboards, identify cost-saving opportunities, and train internal teams on best practices.
Requirements
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
5+ years in customs compliance, FTZ administration, or import/export operations.
Professional certifications: LCB, CCS, AZS, or CZS.
Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations (19 CFR), ACE, and trade documentation.
Proven experience working with CBP and regulatory agencies.
Preferred:
Experience launching or managing a new FTZ site.
Familiarity with FTZ/trade compliance software (e.g., Integration Point, SAP GTS).
Background in energy, manufacturing, or industrial logistics.
